Embellishing Beyond The Norm

This is the first of two sessions for Embellishing Beyond the Norm, and is part of our in-store Embellishment Retreat.

Attend one or both session. $40 each. Lunch included both days.

Friday, Sept. 27, start by piecing a crazy quilt block from QF silks, then learn to use unusual embroidery stitches, from stumpwork to artful ways with ribbon. Silk Block Kit & Class Embroidery Kit $25. Bring your sewing machine or borrow the class machine. HAND OPTION: You can fold, tuck, pin and hand stitch your crazy quilt block. Yes, they were done that way (and you do not have to haul your machine).

Saturday, Sept 28 (additional class fee) continue embellishing the Crazy Quilt block with dimensional flowers featuring the Stumpwork Pansy and other 3D flowers. Kit $12. Stay for late stitching, if desired.
