The Angelina Embellished Purse
Come to this very creative workshop and play with Angelina fiber that melts under the iron into fabric. Machine couch glittering thread for vines. Learn to turn silk velvet fabric into leaves and and shape a Renaissance-like trim into flowers. This fantasy of flowers is mostly machine sewn. Learnt he techniques in class, finish at home. Suitable for all skill levels.
Kit includes three different colors of Angelina fiber, five different colors of Wonderfil Sizzle glittering thread, Artemis silk velvet fabric, cotton fabric for purse fronts (plus extra front and batting for practice in class), purse lining, fusible batting, tulle, Heat n Bong Lite and two hand needles.
Class is Monday, June 17, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cost of workshop: $30, which includes $20 purse kit.
| Requirements: | Supply list for class: Teflon press sheet, smoke YLI Wonder Invisible Thread, fine white chalk mechanical pencil from Bohin or Fons & Porter. Clover Chaco Liner or other marker for velvet, shorter silk pins, scissors for for cutting fabric and paper, ruler, optional Purple Thang or awl for controlling fiber under presser foot. Your sewing machine with couching foot and serger threader. |
