Crinoline
An easy to handle foundation for 3-D flowers. Quite often we're not sure where we will sew a 3-D flower. Crinoline enables you to tack the flower first to a square of crinoline that's just a bit larger than the flower and then trim the excess crinoline away so it can't be seen. You also do not have to use an embroidery hoop when tacking the flower in place if you use crinoline. Crinoline is stiff for the foundation, but when you wash your quilt or wearable it turns into soft cotton fibers. If you use The Ruching Edge or The Mini Ruching Edge to make flowers please make sure you have crinoline to use with it.
