Jelly Roll Quilt

Great for beginners. Learn to use a jelly roll for a quick and easy quilt.

Cost is as follows:
-- Book: "Strip thereapy 5", $18 (includes 10% discount);
--  One Jelly Roll, $35 (includes 10% discount);
--  2 1/2 yards of additional fabric:
-- Teaching fee, $10.

In addition to the discounts on the book and jelly roll, students receive a 10% discount the additonal fabric and any supplies purchased for the class. Students also get 10% off any other purchases made the day of the class (some exculsions apply).


Continuing Classes:

Farmer's Wife 1930s Sampler Quilt

Create all 99 six-inch bloacks from the book "The Famer's Wife 1930s Sample Quilt". The group is great way to learn to quilt, as the classes starts with the easiest blocks and progresses to those that are more complex. Choose either hand-or machine piecing. Each class is $12 and includes instruction, handouts, 1/2-yard of cotton fabric and peridoic giveaways.

Newcomers can start at any time.

Beginning Machine Piecing

The group meetd every other Monday from 1-4 p.m. for eight sessions.

This class is especially for those who want to lean to machine piece a quilt top or for those who are self-taught but would like to learn techniques. Marcy will lead this group. The class meets every other Monday for a total of eight sessions.

You will learn to make color and fabric choices, proper use of a rotary cutter and mat, speed-piecing techniques, squaring up your blocks and adding borders and binding. Anyone is welcome regardless of experience!

Cost is as follows:
-- Book, $14.95;
-- Teaching fee, $5 per student per class;
-- Fabric

Students will receive a 10% discount on the book, fabric and all supplies purchased for the class, plus 10% off on purchases the day of each class (some exculsions apply).



Embroidered Baskets

Award-winner teacher Karen Phillips-Shwallon is teaching twelve months of embroidered baskets filled with different flowers to stitch. If you love flower baskets, you are sure to enjoy embroidering these blocks, which will frame beautifully for gifts or combine into a breathtaking quilt. New students can start at any time.

Free Sit and Sew

Our FREE Sit and Sew group studies hand-piecing quilt blocks. We talk about hand embroidery, hand piecing, English Paper Piecing, the Lucy Boston quilt, and many other topics.

There is no charge; pay only for fabric and supplies you buy.

Newcomers are always welcome.
